tutu

i'd wear a tutu everyday if i could. but i have a newborn and a toddler. which means i'm sporting my pjs all day long. i suppose i could wear a tutu over my pjs. but that's a lot of effort (on 3 hours sleep).

so i've cast my tutu fancies onto my toddler. when it comes time to make her halloween costume this year, no matter what it is that she wants to be, i'll add a tutu to it. yes. i will.

in the meantime, these ever so adorable tutu overalls by sonya (of littlebunnytutus) will do.

notebooks

i had aspirations of becoming a writer once. when i was much younger. look at me now. look how far i've come. i'm living the dream. i'm writing my own blog. sweet success.

lately, i've been obsessed with making these mini notebooks. for other folks to write in. we can't all be career bloggers.

crochet

raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. lime napkin cuffs and bright cotton coasters. or something like that. the words seem to escape me at the moment. but tune will sound in my head (and maybe yours, too) for the next hour or so.

jennie of sosorosey crocheted these lovely coasters and cuffs. they'd make a great set for any family. they'd also make an extremely sweet door prize for your church's first-time-ever ladies (18 and up) bunco night. i just know it.

vintage

aren't these awesome? they're vintage puzzle match-up pieces. match up an animal to its home. i got these from the great molly (my bizarro self) over at whimsyhouse. her shop is full of vintage goodness.

i'm not sure what i'll do with these yet. but so far, they've proved to be quite educational. i've learned that chicken goes with coop. bird goes with nest. crab goes with beach. and apparently, boy goes with house. i can't wait to find out what matches up with cat and worm... oh the suspense!

soap

it's all about the soap, really. (and maybe a little about the sink).

first thing this morning, i scrubbed my most beloved 60" kohler pro taskcenter full countertop deep triple-basin kitchen sink (complete with colander, wire rinse basket, cutting board and drying rack). i scrubbed it nice and shiny to accentuate the new vegan citrus soap bundle i got from sandy of spartasoap.

ahhh. clean sink. a bouquet of citrus freshness. life is good.

potty

yes, it's a potty seat. no, it's not handmade. (it's hard to believe, but i like stuff outside of etsy, too).

today's entry is in honor of my toddler. now i know there will be accidents now and then... but overall, i must say, she's potty trained!

ceramics

sweet and petite. and absolutely adorable. words that describe me perfectly.

ok. fine. i'm talking about these amazing ceramic dishes by robyn (owner of rmesdag). now i know you're thinking robyn only makes birdie dishes. this is not so. she's got plenty of designs for everyone. i just happen to love birdies. (i may steer clear of them when they're flying above... but i love them anyhow).

crochet

i love being cozy.

and so does my lip balm. that's why i keep it in a lip balm holder. lavenderlizard's liz whips up these adorable cozies perfect for the lip balm addict-on-the-go.

did i mention the cozies come complete with a keyring attachment? well they do. now if i could only find my keys...

felted

here's matt. he's a penguin. he's felted. and he's toddler proof.

ruby (of missyandme) may say that matt is "not intended as a toy", but he sure can withstand the pressure of a three year old's fist. poor guy. don't worry. he popped right back into shape after being... well, we won't go into details. just know, matt is okay.

(he does tend to cringe a bit when my daughter comes around, though).

paper

thanks to my fast growing newborn, i'm going though a couple cans of formula a week. i started saving the little formula scoopers. why? i really don't know. other than my need to keep *everything*, i like the feel of the scoopers. they're a smooth plastic. with a sweet formula scent. and the powder makes them soft.

here's the scoop: i decided to fill a scooper with scrapbooking embellishments. i thought it'd be fun to recycle the scoopers instead of displaying them on my kitchen counter. there's a listing in my shop...

earrings

earrings are fun. they're like tiny little treasures. and i love these earrings from jenn over at negellaphotoart. classy and fun - all in one. (and they came with a great story. all her earrings do).

now my ears are pierced. twice. but i don't wear earrings. i'd rather keep them in my pocket. this way, i can look at them when i please. i can't see them if they're on my ears. unless, of course, i looked in the mirror constantly. but then folks would think i was vain.

blanks

matboard blanks. in all colors. i've got a bunch. i'm talkin' frames, aceos, and tags (my favorite).

amber from gatheredfragments cuts them up so pretty that i can't bear to use them (for crafting) too often. they're like a rainbow. like skittles. except you can't taste them. well, i guess you could. but i wouldn't think they'd go down easily. they're quite sturdy.

felt

who lives in a pineapple under the sea? well it's certainly not ursula the octopus. she lives on a bed of shells.

when i read ursula's story (over at redmarionette), i knew she had to come home with me because of the one thing we have in common. we both believe knight rider should come back to prime time. doesn't everyone want that? i thought so. that's why we're starting a petition.

buttons

in the movie "you've got mail", they say all questions can be answered with "the godfather" movie. same goes for buttons.

who's the most influential person in history? buttons. should i make a career change? buttons. what's the secret to potty training? buttons.

these pretty buttons are from amber of acrudele. now don't be fooled. amber actually sells crocheted items. she just had these as destash. what's so great about destash? buttons. (see?)

soap

it's soap. i promise. it's a bundt cake soap. custom made for my baby announcements by dee of barefootbathandbody.

welcome our new "bundtle" of joy. that's right. that's what the announcement said. yes, i thought of it all on my own. sweet, huh?

stuff

i started this blog because i like stuff. i really like stuff. and i just want to show you what i like. maybe you'll like the stuff, too. that'd be neat.

i've two little ones. so, i haven't much time for words and such. that makes reading this blog easy. now that's nice.
