eggs

bunnies don't lay eggs. not real ones. and not plastic fun-filled ones. and certainly - despite what cadbury says - not creme filled ones. i think.

we had a great time egg hunting this past weekend. for the most part anyway. the thing is, when "go" was called, li'l tot ran into the valley of eggs. cute, right? not quite.

the other parents watched, horrified, as she darted past the other children. she was pushing them down all the while squealing with excitement. she filled her basket in no time. and just as any other child was getting up to wipe the dirt off their knees, li'l tot would run by and steal an egg or two from their baskets.

daddy had a long talk with li'l tot when the hunt was over. mainly because she came back with 72 eggs and 3 baskets. um. only one was actually hers.

well. here's hoping you all have a great easter.

ps. daddy also had a long talk with me. apparently, he found out li'l tot was just following my instructions. dern.

pps. i'm not as ebil as you think i am. which is why i'm going to share this with you - good friday.

Hahahaha! This made me laugh bc yesterday I took my daughter to a friend's house and she has 4 kids- the oldest is 6. So he grabbed up a TON of eggs while the 2, two YO girls would have the egg swipped out from their hand as they bent to pick it up! :-0 That's life! It ain't always fair....

Is there any better way to celebrate the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus than to push over little kids and steal their treats?

I can hardly think of one.

eggs drive kids crazy. We got these ones that are super hard to find this year...they were cool.

next year, attach the eggs to a bungy cord and attach the cord to a brick and then bury the brick. when they try to take the egg, it'll just pull them down. srsly. think of the fun. I mean, you could always do it to someone else's kid if you want. I have 2 of my own you could try... ;-)
