now that i'm back on land, i think i'm sea sick.

i'm back from my three-day magical cruise aboard the disney wonder. a few things have changed since my last trip. things like. now, there's a coke products drink station. used to be just water and lemonade were available.

also. now, there are sanitizing hand wipes everywhere. crew members stand outside each restaurant handing out wipies, too. used to be you could just lick your hands and that'd be sufficient.

and then there's the biggest change. now, i have kids.

if you've ever been on any cruise, you know how you have to do that emergency run through with the life jackets and all? oh yeah. it's especially fun when you're stuck between hundreds of people and your 19 month old is in a life jacket that seems to be swallowing her up. so of course, she's going to throw herself down on the floor and pitch a full out temper tantrum. but wait. let me give you a visual here. baby's life jacket was so big that she couldn't flip from one side to the other. so she just laid there screaming on her back with her arms and legs flailing about. kinda like a turtle. a really really loud red-faced turtle.

nevertheless. you'd think that was a bad thing. but no. the crew member in charge of our section felt sorry for us and let us go early. which means. we got to start our vacation about fourteen minutes earlier than everyone else.

but really. what we did was go back to the room and pray that the ship wouldn't go down. because if it did, we'd be the first ones to get kicked out of the lifeboat.

and seriously. why is everything still swaying back and forth?

You brave soul! Taking a child on a cruise. Hubs and I went for our honeymoon and I don't think we'll venture back unless we can go alone or all the kids are old enough to stay in all-day childcare on the ship.

I'm still giggling at the visual of the baby. Did anyone say, "That looks like a turtle." You know, like Dug? HAHAHAHAHA!

I didn't know you went on a cruise. I've never been on a cruise. Also, I'm not a good swimmer. That's a whole lotta trust on a big metallic thing to keep me from dying.

Fancy lifejacket fashion.

That is just histerical! Can't say that I miss those day but believe a 22 year old can look just as silly ;)
