it's muffin tin monday. today's theme is "dr. seuss".my girls love it when i read dr. seuss. they laugh and laugh and laugh. i mean. ok. it's fun. but only at the rate of one book per day. when i'm about on my third dr. seuss book (same day, back to back), i just want to cry. oh my. why? because of all those rhymes that go by. sigh. don't act like you don't know what i'm talking about.
so today, we've got green eggs. and spam. we also have one fish. two fish. red fish. blue fi-mm&m. and lastly, we have the cat's hat (red and white jello).
i wonder how many other moms made green eggs. let's go ask muffin tin mom. i bet i was the only one. also. it would seem that green food coloring makes me extra sarcastic. i'm sure you can't tell, though.

The green eggs and spam slipped out of the tin.
What happened, what happened, WHAT HAPPENED wendiwinn?
They slip and they slide as if on a whim.
Wait a minute, can't stay here, I need a nose trim.
haha Love your post. Too funny. I was trying to think of something to represent the cat's hat but just didn't figure it out in time. Good idea with the jello!
You included multiple book too. I only did one. The tins look great though.
I do not like green eggs and ham...and horton hears a who gave the daughter a nightmare...
But thing one and thing two should be in a zoo...
I think I need some coffee...
I did this too, but I can't take a picture of it, because I just had a speck on a muffin tin. You can't see the speck, but it's there.
A person's a person, no matter how small.
yet again I laugh hysterically at my computer screen when no one is around.
my fave is the "Blue Fi-m&m". Only you can pull that off.
And I know what you mean about reading Dr. Suess. I had to hide all the books but the MTM one we were doing. I'm a baaaaad mother for hiding Dr. Suess.
I love the hat! Turned out great. And I like to hide Hop on Pop. It drives me nuts.
A great tin! Once, my mother tried to skip pages when reading this book to my son when he was around 2 or 3 and boy did he catch her. I think she hid it in her suitcase after that!
Too cute! Love the tin and the ideas!
I love the laziness of green eggs and ham. Maybe no one else besides my kids will find it overly creative but what the hell, I save my super creativeness for my martinis!
I completely understand tripping over words when reading Dr. Suess! Bubba's fav book, The Tooth Book, is a bit hard with the rhyme - I feel like I'm learning to read again or something!

Okay, so I totally hear you about Dr. Seuss. Although my daughter loves the books I go bleary eyed and have a dry mouth by the time I'm done reading one book! Great tin!
Cute! :)
I just wonder what that food coloring does to your poop.
Fancy coloring.
I shake in fear when I see Taylor coming towards me with 2 or 3 Dr. Seuss books at a time to read to him before bed. Reading those at night before bed--- one is hard enough on my tongue and brain, but three... the kid does request too much.
I love how you actually rhymed in your post! Ha ha. Made me laugh and smile!
LOve your tins. And post. We did green (deviled) eggs. But my daughter didn't eat them. But I totally feel you on the slurring of the books. I had to read the foot book and 1 fish, 2 fish WHILE eating lunch. Luckily I didn't spray too many crumbs over the table. But I guess I probably should be setting a good example by not talking with my mouth full. There's my excuse for next time. =] Once again, great tins.
Yep, we were all TOTALLY original with our green eggs and ham, REALLY. Love it anyway! :)
It's a language all it's own. You'll never speak right again ;) Just love your posts!!
You were definitely not the only one...I made green eggs too. I thought they looked a little creepy though. I couldn't believe it when my daughter ate it. But she might not realize that green is a not a normal color for eggs to be.
I did try the green eggs but they just looked so gross I thougth my son would never eat them. Did your kids eat them up?
I used to hate reading Dr. Seuss when I taught school because I would always get so tongue tied!
I love your post! So funny. Great tin. I also enjoyed the "blue fi-m&m".
I just want you to know, your plan to leave yourself a Valentine note is just diabolical enough for me to try it out...
I appreciate your sarcasm girlie!
That is awesome green eggs! And I so know what you mean about the books being hard to read after you have read them back to back a billjillion times!!
Thank you for the laugh of the day:)
Happy SITS Day!
I love Dr. Seuss!!! We have green eggs and ham once a year while camping - it's tradition.
you make me chortle. Yah, I said chortle.
ha ha ha - I wish I could blame my sarcasm on green food coloring!!!! ;) And yes, I know what you are talking about - those books are long and tricky to read out loud! One a day - good idea!
dr. seuss. my husband cheats and skips pages. i don't have the heart to do that so i get stuck reading the same damn book over and over and answering the same question (what's that, mommy?) question fifty million times. this tins thing. i've never heard of it. good idea though, i will be trying it. i'm not going to rhyme because...well...yeah. i'm gonna pass.
