there's a lot of history here. time stands still. beauty portrayed in simplistic design. that's what i tell folks about my centerpiece. but when i'm asked to elaborate on the details of each piece, i just shrug. because dude. i don't know anything. all i know is i will drop kick anyone who tries to touch it. except for chuck norris. it'd take a couple head-butts to knock him out.

so glad you don't have a pig hugging a can of spam.....make up things about your loved possessions..like..when someone asks me about a carnival glass plate..I tell them my great aunt crossed a german border and smuggled that plate in her pants...only to sit in my display unscathed...

I just stacked 10 cans of spam onto my table, because the pig I had there was starting to attract files. It's so pudi. I am trying to think of another dannymal to put on my table. I am thinking a oldwl? Salamander? (ohhh so subtle)

I have similar egg cups (only white) and tea cups, etc., from days gone by (my mom and her mom and her mom. LOVE them - all fragile and beautiful. Wish I'd been smart enough to gather the history of the items before everyone moved on to heaven! There's no texting in heaven. I know. I tried.
