sometimes i put one on each finger and pretend i have robot hands.

they're from all over the world.

and they're in mason jars because i'm not eighty-seven. but when i do become that womanly age, you can bet my thimbles will be displayed properly. most likely because i'll need the jars to store my dentures.

this post was brought to you by leigh of "leigh vs. laundry" and her "happiness project". if you wanna play along, all you have to do is post a picture of something that makes you happy. then. you can add your name to her "mr. linky" thing. check out what makes her happy. i hope it's me.

You have quite the variety (subtle) of thimbles there...I bet some are really old, man...

Haha, I had a thimble display in my room when I was little. I stole them from my mom and had them lovingly displayed on a shelf above my bed until I was about 14. :D

I love that you play robot with them.

I always wanted a boy to give me a thimble when I was a little girl because of Peter Pan. No boy ever stepped up to the challenge. I am thimbleless...you are not!

Awesome collection!

step one: put thimble on each pinkie
step two: put pinkies in nose
step three: remove pinkies
result: thimbles should stay in nose.

did it work?

domo ari gato mister roboto...domo...*doing the robot*

Cool collection...if you ever get tired of having them in mason jars you could string them together and wear some of them around your kneck...it would become all the rage, and then the Winn wear would be the sensation to hit the nation

*continuing to do the robot*

I feel close.

Because we discussed the thimbles-in-mason-jars thing.

And I said "you should take a pic".

And you did. Which makes me feel influencial.

Fancy inspiring.

Neat way to display your collection.

Leigh sent me over. I'm your newest follower. Nice to "meet" you.

I used to have thimbles. Pretty little metal and ceramic ones. Some I bought but most were gifts from Aunts, my Mother and my Grandmother. Then they were stolen by my ex to upset me. It did. So I got a leather thimble to replace the ones I used to have, and now just use that. I have had it for over 20 years now.

Yours are much more pretty.
