i found this amazing telephone chair this weekend. and i have the perfect place for it. no, not outside on my driveway. it was only put out there for a cleaning. poor thing had dust galore. scratches and scrapes. and even some burn marks. i bet it heard some stories in its day.also. while it was outside, i sat on it for a bit and waved to my passing neighbors. then i did the whole surfer wave thing to my ear and told them to call me. my phone has been ringing off the hook. unfortunately, it's just from me calling myself to make sure the phone is working properly.
this is the thing. while i love the chair, the seat cover is worn and smelly. and it's a vomity green yellow brown spotty color. so i want to re-cover it. i picked out a couple fabrics that i like. but i just can't decide which one to use. will you please help me?
don't worry about what my house looks like. or what my style is. or which fabric matches my wall colors. i mean dude. my house is a circus. so really, any fabric will fit. the choices are blue toile, red floral, white butterfly, and brown paisley.
i added a poll on the side of my blog. it'd be great if you would vote for your favorite. and near the end of the month, when the poll closes, i'll re-cover the chair in the fabric with the most votes. i hope i get more than 50 35 six votes.

I vote for the brown paisley. First of all, I'm a paisley nut. Secondly, I just think it would look best, but that's my humble opinion. Score on the find, by the way!
Just love the chair. I've always wanted a phone chair. My fav is the brown paisley as it will go with everything. I too love paisleys. But then again I love tole, and red.

I fell in love with a telephone table i found in a pig barn turned antique shop in Vermont. It's an adorable little art deco thing. We put new fabric on it too...

i have one of those telephone chairs too! mine is smaller and not as nice. its up in the attic awaiting the day the kids move out so i have more room and can find a nice spot for it. unfortunately as the kids get bigger the house seems to get smaller and can't afford to get a bigger house!

I wanted to vote for the butterfly because it's pretty but then you said you live in a circus... so maybe the red since that's cheerful and will hide any spills and run ins with the circus crowd!! The brown is gorgeous but maybe too formal unless you have a formal area you plan to put the chair! Awesome blog-- I like the way you write-- it sounds like the way I think!!
That telephone chair is lovely...although I NEVER sit in a chair when I'm on the phone. I wear a headset and get some things done around the house when I'm talking on the phone! It would be nice to sit once in a while in such a pretty chair!! ANYHO, I love the brown paisley....but any of these fabrics would be great.

A telephone chair that's been punished by having to spend its life wearing a boring vomity green yellow spotty color most of its life deserves BRIGHT and cheerful!! It is a princess chair, after all!
