we're in the middle of remodeling. so everything that belongs to my girls has been squished into the living room. there's no where to sit. there's barely room to walk. you'd think this would be an inconvenience.

on the contrary, this is the perfect time to add more stuff. i'll buy a little this and a little that and just shove it into one of the existing stacks or piles. i've also been squeezing items in between the deconstructed bed and shelves.

my hubby will sometimes do a double take. but the great thing about that is, he won't ask if anything is new. because that'd mean admitting he didn't know what the girls have in the first place. or maybe he's just scared to find out how much i've purchased in the last few months. either way. he's a smart man, i tell you.

so a few weeks ago, my good friend shauna over at lemon drop studio (on etsy) asked me if she could send me a couple of personalized prints. one for each girl. all i would have to do in return is (1) pick which print. (2) pick the colors. (3) pick the font. (4) let her follow me around and pretend she's part of my normal paparazzi entourage. check, check, check, and i suppose we'll have to schedule a time for her to do that.

i picked a butterfly print for li'l tot and a dragonfly print for baby. both pink and white. and both with the bella font. sweet and dainty. just like my girls. also. i could have easily decided on the t-rex. loud and rowdy. again, just like my girls.

the prints arrived quickly. and. they were packaged perfectly in a protective cello sleeve with a stiff board. that's what she said. no really, shauna uses those exact words in some of her listings. i just copied them.

the prints are well made and absolutely fitting for my girls' new rooms. and the best thing about the items at lemon drop studio are that they're absolutely fitting for anyone. customization is what all the cool kids are doing. and shauna is totally cool. otherwise, i wouldn't have agreed to stipulation number four.
